Meet the Team

Guy Jenner - Chief Executive Officer

I joined HWM in January 2014. Having met Mike Harting and Andrew Harting and discussed the history of the business, I was instantly taken by the prospect of working at HWM. It really is a unique place with an incredible history. I am lucky to work with some superb people who share my love of cars and creating a friendly and enthusiastic environment.

Due to a relentless passion for cars, I have spent my whole career in the motor industry. It was always going to be the way. Having started my career with Mercedes-Benz in the 1990’s, I have since worked with Jaguar, Porsche, Ferrari, Maserati and Aston Martin. Today I enjoy working in a business where I can be involved with some incredible cars and people. We are the oldest Aston Martin dealership in the world. The HWM Sports Cars business gives us an opportunity to get involved with a huge variety of cars. We love anything sporty or interesting.

Get to know Guy:

What is your favourite Sports Car and why?

I find this question impossible. There is no one favourite car, I would need to have a fleet of cars to keep me happy. For starters, I would be delighted with…..

A Subaru BRZ, Caterham 310, Aston Martin V12 Vantage Manual and a Mercedes-Benz E63s AMG Estate. Having read that back, I appreciate it sounds a little greedy! It should also be pointed out that if you ask me tomorrow, you will probably get a different answer!

How do you like to spend your spare time?

I enjoy the odd track day across the year and general car events. I also like anything on two wheels; motorcycling. mountain biking and cycling.

Paul Flitter - Commercial Director

I started working with HWM in January 2012 after 12 years within the BMW Dealer Network across a variety of different roles. Andrew Harting and I arranged to meet one Sunday at the Dealership in Walton on Thames and I was immediately enthused and excited at the prospect of working with a business and team that has so much history, racing pedigree and complete care for its staff and customers. I remember it not taking great deal of persuasion to join HWM

Get to know Paul:

What is your favourite Sports Car and why?

A really tricky question and the answer changes constantly. For me, at the moment it is the Porsche 911 R. We had a RHD Model in stock a while back and I just loved it! The 911 R has a similar spec to the GT3 RS but had production limited to 991 units. It’s got everything I would want in a Sports Car that would be equally at home on a commute as it would be driving down to the South of France or round a track.

How do you like to spend your spare time?

My Wife and I have 2 sons aged 3 and 6 all of whom keep me on my toes when I am not playing around with cars all day. To relax you’ll find me Clay Pigeon Shooting, playing the Piano or Go-Karting. Not all at the same time though.

Oliver White - Sales Specialist

I have been with HWM since 2012. After finishing my degree in Motorsport Engineering, I had a short spell working for small race teams before joining HWM as a technician. Originally working on Alfa Romeo’s and Jeep’s, I then expressed interest in moving to sales. After a year in sales with Alfa Romeo and Jeep, HWM moved away from new car sales and HWM Sports Cars was born. I have been the sole sales specialist at HWM Sports Cars and I pride myself on excellent customer service and attention to detail.

Get to know Oliver:

What is your favourite Sports Car and why?

The Lexus LFA has to be my favourite, the styling is purposeful and in my opinion has one of the best engines ever made and it is definitely my favourite sounding car.

How long have you been with HWM?

I have been working for HWM since 2012

What interests do you have away from HWM Sports Cars?

My main interest is cars! I regularly attend car events, anything from Goodwood Festival of Speed to events at the Ace Café in London. I also do at least one road trip a year in my Alfa Romeo 4C, normally around Europe.

What would you say is your greatest achievement?

I have always wanted to work with cars in some form and the fact I have some of the most stunning machinery around me at HWM I feel this is my biggest achievement to date.

In your opinion, who is the greatest racing driver of all time and why?

Ayrton Senna, has to be my choice for all-time greatest racing driver. The first lap of Donington in 1993 in the rain was truly special.

What was your greatest drive?

On my most recent road trip I had the chance to drive a few of the mountain passes in Switzerland my favourite being the Grimsel Pass. The road and the views were stunning!

Neil Hayfield - Finance Director

HWM has long been a landmark in local knowledge and status and fortunately I was offered the opportunity to provide temporary cover way back in 2002. It wasn’t long before temporary became permanent, having matching initials to the company owner and similar vehicle registration plate must have won over! My interest for cars and bikes was obvious and continues to this day where I have been lucky to be involved with some very special vehicles over the years. All around the business I can see and hear the same passion from my colleagues who delight in offering their enthusiasm for the variety of special vehicles we deal with. With HWM being the world’s oldest Aston Martin Dealer it is easy to see how our long standing passion shines through our business. It is this working environment where you can make a difference and be influential that makes HWM very special.

Get to know Neil:

How long have you been at HWM?

Almost 17 years! I started at HWM as temporary cover in October 2002.

What interests do you have away from HWM Sports Cars?

Out of the office I am a keen triathlete and trail runner. I enjoy the training and especially the competitive nature of these disciplines. I’ll also get out on my motorbike when I can to find some country roads and café stops.

What would you say is your greatest achievement?

There have been many fitness related achievements both solo and team that I am very proud of. However working for a family owned business that thrives on customer enthusiasm for sports cars has been an absolute pleasure.

In your opinion, who is the greatest racing driver of all time and why?

It’s very difficult to pin this on just one driver. In my top five during my lifetime would be Colin Mcrae, Sebastian Loeb and Michael Schumacher. I think that rally drivers ability control a vehicle over varying terrain and weather whilst at high speed makes them arguably the most complete drivers. I would also like to include the likes of Carl Fogarty and Valentino Rossi as exceptional motorcyclists and very exciting to watch who also displayed immense ability on four wheels.

What was your greatest drive?

I’ve had some very memorable moments on the road including several trips to Le Mans 24hrs, a motorbike tour of the South West coast of England and holidaying in the French Alps.

Grace Dickinson - Marketing Executive & Sales Administration

I have been with HWM since 2016. My first role was part-time Showroom Host whilst I was completing my Bachelors Degree in Psychology. On a whim, I decided to do my Masters in Marketing Psychology and continue to work at HWM as part-time Showroom Host. I then saw an opening for my current job, and thought "Why not"! I was over the moon when I found out I got the job, HWM could not have been a more supportive about my university commitments. This is, after all, a family-run business, making HWM a very special place to work.

Get to know Grace:

How long have you been at HWM?

Coming up to four years!

What interests do you have away from HWM Sports Cars?

I have just finished my Masters degree in Marketing Psychology, whilst working at HWM full-time, so I am not used to having spare time on my hands! I have always loved to sing, when I was younger, I used to gig in bars and restaurants, so maybe I'll try my hand at that again!

What would you say is your greatest achievement?

For just under ten years, I played Fastpitch Softball for Great Britain. It was a fantastic experience, I was able to tour the world with the squad from such a young age. The sport gave me discipline and ambition; qualities which I am extremely grateful for now.

What was your greatest drive?

I would have to say the first time I was able to drive an Aston Martin. I was at a training course where I was able to drive a DB11, DBS, Rapide and Vantage through the Warwickshire countryside. All of the cars were fantastic, but as soon as I stepped into the Vantage, I knew I wanted one! Its raw energy was like nothing I had experienced before, making that short hours drive the best of my life.
